How The Donk Came to Be
Every product starts with a problem. Ours started with a bloke squinting at a telly across a dark pub, trying to figure out if the blinds just went up. Here’s the journey from frustration to your table.
The Spark
It’s a Wednesday night at the local. The Donk squints at the telly across a dark, noisy pub trying to read the blinds. Again. He’s been doing this for years. The screen’s got more glare than a bouncer at 2am. “There’s gotta be a better way,” he mutters, and reaches for his beer.
The Blueprint
3am. The kitchen table’s covered in blueprints, empty coffee cups, and tiny electronic bits. The Donk reckons he can build a little round screen that sits on the table and shows you everything you need to know. ESP32, WiFi, LVGL display. “How hard can it be?” he says. Famous last words.
The Prototype
This is where we’re at, legend. The Donk’s got his goggles on (crooked, obviously), the soldering iron’s hot, and the first prototype is glowing on the bench. Real hardware. Real display. Real-time blinds. It works and it’s bloody beautiful.

The Test
